Correcting a record
Forgot to stop the timer? Set the time you really spent. The original is kept, and you can restore it.

Timers run until you stop them, so now and then a record is too long, or you timed something under the wrong task. You can fix both.
Change a record's length
- Open Records and tap the record.
- Under Correct duration, set the hours, minutes and seconds you really spent.
- Tap Correct duration.
The record now shows the new length, with a pencil and corrected. The original is kept: it's listed under Original in the record. Totals everywhere use the corrected time.
To undo a correction, open the record and tap Restore original.
On iPad and Mac, press ⌘ E in Records to jump straight to the record's length.
Link a record to a task
A session started with Focus has no task. To attach it to one later, open the record and tap Link to a task. To move it to a different task, tap Change task.
Time you didn't time
If an assistant is connected on your Mac, you can tell it about time you spent and ask it to log it. It's saved as a corrected record, so Records always shows it wasn't timed.
Delete a record
Open the record and tap Delete, or swipe it to the left in the list. The task and its steps stay.
